Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC)
Course Description:
The Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) is a South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) approved qualification designed to equip learners with the theoretical and practical knowledge to safely operate Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS).
Students will gain hands-on flight training, aviation theory, and an understanding of air law, meteorology, navigation, and human factors, preparing them for careers in drone operations across commercial industries.
Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS)
Course Description:
The BVLOS course extends a pilot’s operational capabilities beyond visual range, enabling participation in large-scale and complex drone operations. This SACAA-recognized training includes mission planning, risk assessment, advanced systems management and regulatory compliance, empowering learners to operate drones for surveying, logistics, infrastructure and environmental monitoring.
Instructor Rating
Course Description:
The Instructor Rating program is designed for qualified drone pilots who aspire to teach and mentor future RPAS operators. The course covers instructional techniques, flight training methodology, learner assessment and classroom management. Graduates will be certified to conduct RPC and practical flight instruction under an approved training organization.
